I would prefer not having another game to having a game that isn't true to the series. On the other, there's the risk of Bethesda trying to make S.T.A.L.K.E.R. On one hand, there's the possible continuation of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. It ruins immersion and changes the focus of the game.
I don't see how this would hurt the stalker series. However a leveling system with perks would seriously harm the game.Ĭharacter Creation would be great but I disagree on your other point, the leveling system and perks is what made the fallout games more fun and add replay value, cause you can try different perks on each game playthrough. More RPG elements wouldn't hurt I think, namely character creation. The Fallout engine would actually work fairly well for the game if they could make the gunplay feel right. I just hope they don't try to turn it into an RPG. I'm not thrilled on Bethesda making it, but I would prefer them to many other studios. It was a real disappointment hearing that Stalker 2 wouldn't get made. titles - Lost Alpha which is on the verge of perfecting the franchise, and CryZone Sector 23 as a bonus. We already have two upcoming S.T.A.L.K.E.R. That's what they need to focus on, not making three huge games. Do they need three post-apocalyptic games? Fallout, RAGE, and now S.T.A.L.K.E.R.? Moreover I want them to put all of their money, time, and effort into the next Fallout and TES games. I'll say some more: I don't want Bethesda to work on a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 4A would be my second choice, but I look forward to CryZone Sector 23 more than a Bethesda S.T.A.L.K.E.R. They're on the verge of perfecting S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

2 license and CoP engine source code should have been given to dez0wave, Lost Alpha developers. I wouldn't want it to be inspired by Fallout at all. I just have a bad feeling about it, if it's true.

However mods would do this too, so who knows? It might be decent. I don't think they can get the dark and gritty atmosphere right (even GSC failed to do this after SoC, and SoC was worse than its alpha builds in this regard). However, there are mods that address the latter for Fallout and TES so there's some hope there. Even if Bethesda wrote a new engine from scratch or. Theyre using the same engine for Elder Scrolls 6 as they were for Oblivion in the same way that Infinite Warfare is still using the same engine as Quake 3 Arena. Looking at Fallout and TES, they are unable to create a story driven game like S.T.A.L.K.E.R., and can't implement hardcore semi-realistic survival gameplay. They cant just keep bolting things onto that engine and hope it holds together. Not very good news in my opinion, but better than no S.T.A.L.K.E.R. I'm just gonna quote myself from my post on OCN.
